How could it not be with three beautiful lakes and numerous ponds scattered throughout its the city. With all this water, it is only natural that boating is a favorite pastime for many residents.
On any given afternoon, a lone kayaker drifts across glistening waters. The profile of a standup paddle boarder is stark against a blue sky. A skier zips along behind a motor boat on Lake Peachtree. Rowers in their long, sleek boats strain to keep time with others as they learn to row in sync on Lake McIntosh. Families maneuver catamarans. A boisterous party floats by on a pontoon. The beat of a drum leads a colorful dragon headed boat as it races across the lake. A fishing boat hovers around the bridges over Lake Kedron waiting for that allusive bass.
